Course Description

Use Access, a database management system, to store different types of information in an organized way so it can be easily and selectively retrieved when it is needed. Users will create a database, and then manage and present the information using queries, forms, and reports.

  • Open and view a database and database objects

  • Create and work with tables

  • Use the find and replace feature

  • Add, edit, and delete records

  • Spell check, print preview, and print a table

  • Add, move, and delete fields in design view

  • Change a field definition and field properties

  • Use the Input Mask Wizard

  • Assign and delete a primary key

  • Create a form using a Wizard

  • Print, delete, and sort records in a form

  • View a form record source

  • Create, run, save, close, and edit a select query

  • Specify and delete query criteria

  • Use comparison operators and wildcard characters

  • Create calculated fields and a “Totals” calculation

  • Create a multi-table query

  • Create a report using a wizard

  • Manipulate report sections and controls
