Course Description

This three-hour version of our full-day introductory class is designed for the user who desires a faster pace with less time spent on practice exercises. Participants will learn how to create a variety of slides which incorporate text, graphs, and clip art. During class, on-screen slide shows will be discussed and created.

 

Course Topics

  • Create a new presentation

  • Execute commands

  • Move, display, hide, and customize toolbars

  • Change to a different view and change the layout for a slide

  • Use the AutoFit Options button

  • Duplicate and delete a slide

  • Move from slide to slide and change the order of slides

  • Run a slide show

  • Add speaker notes

  • Use the Outline pane and view the Outlining toolbar

  • Insert, replace, and delete text

  • Undo and redo actions

  • Move and copy items and collect and paste multiple items

  • Format text using the toolbar and the Format menu

  • Create picture and numbered bullets

  • Use automatic spell checking

  • Use AutoCorrect and Style Checker

  • Insert and format clip art

  • Insert and edit WordArt           

  • Draw lines and AutoShapes

  • Move, resize, format, align, distribute, duplicate, flip, and rotate objects

  • Group, ungroup, and regroup objects

  • Insert and activate a chart        

  • Use the AutoContent Wizard

  • Apply a design template

  • View, edit, and change the formatting of a master

  • Add animation to a list placeholder

  • Add slide show transitions

  • Change page setup option

  • Print slides, outlines, speaker’s notes pages, and handouts
