Course Description

This course is for the user who has a basic understanding of Project but would like to expand their knowledge. Participants will learn how to work with multiple projects, import and export data, plus much more.

 

Course Topics

  • Switch between open projects

  • Display all open files at the same time

  • Hide and unhide open windows

  • Save a workspace

  • Create a project from an existing file

  • Insert a project

  • Break the link between the inserted project and its source file

  • Consolidate open projects

  • Create a task link between subprojects

  • Display the name of the source project for each task

  • Sort tasks in a master project window

  • View multiple critical paths

  • Link a project to a resource pool

  • Open a sharer file

  • Update and refresh a resource pool

  • Open and edit a resource pool

  • Unlink a sharer file from a resource pool

  • Import Excel data into Project using a predefined map

  • Export Project data to Excel using a predefined map

  • Import Excel data into Project using a custom map

  • Export Microsoft Project data to Microsoft Excel using a custom map

  • Delete a custom map

  • Create a hyperlink to another file or web page

  • Create a hyperlink to another view

  • Edit a hyperlink

  • Remove a hyperlink

  • Save an existing Project file as a template

  • Specify save options for a Project file
