Course Description

This course is for the user who has a basic understanding of Microsoft Project but is interested in learning how to use timesaving features such as macros and custom fields. You will also learn valuable tips that will enable you to utilize Microsoft Project more efficiently.

 

Course Topics

  • Modify Gantt Chart Bar text
  • Evenly split the window and activate the split bar
  • View task ID numbers in Resource Usage view
  • Quickly display all tasks after applying a filter
  • Rename a field
  • Hide the View Bar and hide an icon on the View Bar
  • Use AutoFill to enter information
  • Wrap text in a cell
  • Create a “To Do” list for a resource
  • Display resources alphabetically in the “Assign Resources” dialog box
  • Collapse all subtasks at the same time
  • Create a milestone task with duration
  • Display the Task Information or Resource Information dialog box
  • Link and unlink tasks using the keyboard
  • Copy a picture of selected information
  • Print first column(s) on all pages
  • View different pages in Print Preview using a keystroke
  • Display project summary information
  • Record, run, edit, and delete a macro
  • Add a macro to a toolbar and a custom menu to the Menu Bar
